Finsterwalde: Competence Centre Plasma 4.0

n April 2010 Kjellberg opened its plasma demonstration centre in Finsterwalde, which is now one of the most advanced in Europe. Since September 2019 the modernised Competence Centre Plasma 4.0 (CCP) offers regional visitors as well as experts of the branch the possibility to get an idea of the newly created technical possibilities. In the CCP 4.0, a large number of innovative processes for metal processing and machining will be presented live. All Kjellberg quality plants – whether Smart Focus, HiFocus or the industry 4.0-capable plant series Q – as well as approved technologies of the plasma cutting process will be demonstrated in a simulated Smart Factory on different guiding machines of well-known manufacturers and partners. Last but not least the extraction or the gas supply are visualised via an integrated network. The coupling of all components allows the user to view operating states and necessary recommendations for action at a glance. In live demonstrations, the guests learn everything worth knowing about the plasma cutting process and are finally given comprehensive personal advice with the aim of facilitating decision-making.
