Management shell: Even closer cooperation with ZD.B and LNI 4.0

The Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. was invited to the "Pilot Transfer Workshop Administrative Shell" event at the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center in Augsburg to shed light on the requirements of SMEs for the administrative shell. The organizers here were the Center for Digitalization.Bavaria (ZD.B), Plattform Industrie 4.0, Labs Network Industrie 4.0 e.V. (LNI 4.0) and, as host, the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center in Augsburg.

The stimulating discussions once again highlighted one thing above all: Industry 4.0 cannot spread as a proprietary solution of a single big player, but only a democratization of Industry 4.0 can enable the added values for all by all. The representatives of the participating companies covered an enormous range of industrial manufacturing, including manufacturers of software, agricultural machinery or diesel engines, among others.

During the discussions, particular attention was paid to the conceivable and already implemented use-cases of the individual participants. In addition, an even closer cooperation of the Industry Business Network 4.0 with Dr.-Ing. Dominik Rohrmus (LNI 4.0) as well as with Dr. Klaus Funk (ZD.B) was agreed upon in order to create common standards for Europe in the development of the management shell.

At the end of an exciting day, representatives of the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. (IBN 4.0) and the host of the "Pilot Transfer Workshop Administrative Shell" posed for a souvenir picture at the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center Augsburg (from left): Michael Gaigl (IBN 4.0), Igor Mikulina (Chairman of the Board IBN 4.0), Dr.-Ing.
