Kick-off Open Source Software Team

The Board of Trustees of the IndustryFusion Foundation set the course at the beginning of 2023: Instead of exclusively outsourcing programming services for the first cross-vendor open source networking solution in the future, an in-house team was set up: Some of the members now met for the kick-off in the first IFF DemoFab in Bad Wörishofen, for which the starting signal will be given in May. The IFF software team currently consists of five colleagues: Led by Bertram Holzer (Software Lead), four colleagues are working on the further development of the software solution: Oguzcan Kirmemis (Platform Engineer), Abijith Raghavendra (Cloud Engineer), Martin Mohring (Architecture Engineer) and Alexander Friedl (UX/UI Designer). "We have assembled a highly competent team here - every single member brings in-depth experience from software projects, some of which are highly complex, to the development of our unique solution for the manufacturing industry," says Igor Mikulina, President of the IFF Foundation Board, who also serves as Technical and Business Lead at the Foundation. The team is working in close coordination with teams from Intel, SUSE and Sopra Steria on "IF Release 5.0," which will be presented to the public in the fall of 2023.
