In demand as a contact partner for automation and digitization issues

At Schweissen & Schneiden 2017 in Düsseldorf, the focus was on products for the automation and digitization of manufacturing. Numerous members of the Industry Business Network 4.0 presented the most innovative solutions and were sought-after contacts for trade visitors and the media. Among other things, the association presented a new brochure that links print product and digital world thanks to augmented reality.

At the trade show, which takes place every four years, around 50,000 visitors took the opportunity to find out about innovations along the entire production chain of the joining, cutting and coating industry from more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries.

Above all, the focus was on new solutions for automating and digitizing production in the sense of Industry 4.0. Numerous association members also presented innovations to make manufacturing even more flexible and to further increase production speed - but also to better monitor and control processes.

The following member companies were present: Kemppi Oy, Kemper GmbH, Kjellberg Finsterwalde GmbH, SigmaNEST Systems GmbH, Böckelt GmbH Lagersysteme, TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie GmbH, Lissmac Maschinenbau GmbH, IBEDA Sicherheitsgeräte und Gastechnik GmbH & Co. KG, and MicroStep Europa GmbH.

The representatives of the member companies were much in demand as contacts: Numerous visitors took the opportunity to find out more about the association at the individual stands. In addition, the media also had a great interest in the association, the individual members and its representatives as experts. With Erwin Telöken (Managing Director TEKA Absaug- und Entsorgungstechnologie GmbH) and Konstantin Kernschmidt (Project Manager Industry 4.0 MicroStep Europa GmbH), two members were part of the expert panel at the DVS-TV trade fair talk. Together with Jens Schleicher (Abicor Binzel) and Roland Schick (Fronius), the two were asked by presenter Nadine Pungs about the topic "Industry 4.0 - What's really in it?

Trade visitors were able to get their hands on a completely new brochure at the members' stands. Thanks to augmented reality and the "Industry Business Network App," the brochure makes it possible for customers to experience the association's goals and the added value to be generated, and links the print product with the digital world.
