Published 10.04.2018

As part of the annual reception of the parliamentary group SME's Europe (PKM Europe), the association "Industry Business Network 4.0" presents itself today at a trade fair in the European Parliament. The topic of the day at the Representation North Rhine-Westphalia in Brussels is the digitalization of medium-sized industry.

The keynote will be given by Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society. Further keynote speeches will be given by Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Arndt Günther Kirchhoff, CEO Kirchhof Group and member of the presidia of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA), as well as Prof. Michael Hüther, Director of the Institute of the German economy (IW).

Part of the get-together is a small trade fair where a small number of innovative companies are presented - such as KUKA Roboter GmbH and Industry Business Network 4.0. Markus Ferber, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of PKM Europe, invited the SME Initiative to Brussels for this event. He was a keynote speaker last year at the congress Fertigung 4.0 of the association and was enthusiastic about the initiative: "It makes sense not only to network the machines, but also the people. With the Industry Business Network you have created an excellent network that is capable of great things, "says Ferber on the subject of industrial digitization.
