EU commissioner informs about Industry Business Network 4.0

The EU policy shows great interest in the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V .: As part of the annual reception of the parliamentary group Mittelstand Europa (PKM Europe), the association presented itself at a trade fair in the EU representation of North Rhine-Westphalia in Brussels. Theme of the evening: Digitization of medium-sized industry. EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel, found out in person about the solutions of the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V.

 

The Swabian MEP and spokesman for the EU parliamentary group for SME's, Markus Ferber, has long been pushing the question of how digitization of medium-sized industry could work. On the occasion of the annual reception of the parliamentary group of SME's Europe, he had the solution in his pocket: At his invitation, the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. presented itself to around 150 invited guests from EU top policy at an accompanying trade fair.

 

Among them was EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel. She informed herself at the stand of the association about the solutions of the manufacturer association of innovative medium-sized companies and wants to deal in a more detailed follow-up now even more intensively with the unique concepts of the association. "The business model of the Industry Business Network puts the need for improvement in digitization to the point", summarized Markus Ferber. And Igor Mikulina, CEO of the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V., is grateful for the consistently positive feedback: "As a network of innovative medium-sized companies, we are now embarking on the concrete implementation of cross-manufacturer networked manufacturing. Against this background, we are very pleased that we are also perceived and supported as a development consortium at European level. "

 

The parliamentary group for SME's Europe (PKM Europe) represents the interests of medium-sized companies in the European Parliament. At its annual reception, topics that are of existential significance for medium-sized companies are put into focus. Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, gave the keynote address on this year's topic "Digitization of SMEs". Further keynote speeches followed by Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Arndt Günther Kirchhoff, CEO Kirchhof Group and member of the presidia of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA), as well as Prof. Michael Hüther, Director of the Institute of German Business (IW). Apart from the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. companies such as the Swabian robot builder Kuka presented themselves at the accompanying trade fair.
